A short description of Genders Travelling in Time e-Twinning Project

   Within the "Genders Travelling in Time" e-Twinning project, we aimed to look the stereotypes of genders. We know that everyone regardless of gender should be behaved equally. No one should not get an opportunity just for being a woman or man. Besides this, no one should have a disadvantage for being any gender.   

           But all over the world, people experience much more difficulties of being a woman or a man. For example, it is thought that houseworks should be done by women or mothers. Besides this, earning money for households is thought the duty of men or fathers. Another stereotype is that "A woman should always look beautiful and her appearance should always be perfect." Another one is "A man can not be emotional and can not cry." 

           We looked the fairy tales and saw that "A monster can only be a man not a woman". Men are strong, hard, cruel. Women are fragile, weak. This supposes should be changed for a fair world. 

       We also aimed for change the prejudices of genders job. People believe that works like repairing a car, a machine, driving a bus, using new technologies are men's work.  It is belived that prepearing a delicious meal, doing laundry, sewing are what women do well and men can not. But we see that the best cooks can be both men or women. Women work in computer and technological device repair works and they cope these very well.

          

         So we worked on these stereotypes to firstly change the thoughts of our immediate environment and wish to spread the world.
